The Highlander is Toyota’s car-based midsize SUV which has been refreshed for 2011
having different front fascia, hood and fenders. The Highlander was totally remodeled
for 2008, the first redesign since it was introduced as a 2001 model. Constructed
using a unibody platform with 4-wheel independent suspension, the Highlander provides
a tight, quiet ride such as a midsize car with the higher ride height, available
4-wheel drive and cargo capacity of a midsize SUV.
The 2013 Toyota Highlander gets a new Highlander Plus trim which changes the former
Tech package and adds a lot of popular characteristics, including a rear back-up
camera. The Highlander Plus trim includes a 3.5-inch multi-information screen, and
exterior improvements incorporate black roof rails and a lift-up window hatch.
